The Sokołowsko Music Foundation is the legal entity responsible for the operations Sokołowsko Music- an interdisciplinary platform and sound laboratory operating at the intersection of experimental music, sound art, sound studies, and acoustic ecology.

The platform creates space for dialogue and collaboration between organizations engaged in contemporary sound culture—connecting artists, curators, researchers, and scholars, and supporting transcultural and interdisciplinary initiatives at the crossroads of art and science.
Sokołowsko Music draws inspiration from its surroundings—the Central Sudetes mountains and the Polish-Czech border region. The initiative was launched by Gerard Lebik, a sound artist, composer, and the director and founder of the Sanatorium of Sound festival in Sokołowsko, held from 2015 to 2024

The Sokołowsko Music Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports both contemporary creators and historically significant artists working at the intersection of various disciplines, with a particular focus on contemporary music culture and sound art.
Its mission is to establish new frameworks for the preservation, development, and presentation of these practices, while also building platforms for artistic activities that are underrepresented in commercial, institutional, and historical art contexts.

One of the Foundation’s key areas of activity is the exploration of sound art and issues related to acoustic ecology. Through the organization of festivals, artist residencies, and workshops, it supports creators investigating the relationship between sound and environment—both in the context of nature and social spaces.
Sound ecology is a crucial element of the Foundation’s mission, encompassing reflection on the sonic landscape, its impact on our lives, and the promotion of mindful listening. Sokołowsko, with its unique landscape and history as a health resort, provides an ideal backdrop for projects inspired by both nature and the transformations of cultural environments.

The Foundation collaborates with artists and organizations to carry out projects including commissioned compositions, exhibitions, publications, and the archiving and caretaking of artistic legacies.
Through its activities, it aims to foster an engaged artistic community, creating space for sonic experimentation, intergenerational exchange, and the development of innovative artistic practices.
